What chemical or enzyme in semen causes it to hurt the eyes?

Recently during sex semen got in my eye and it caused extreme inflamation to my eye and it hurt badly. It looked as if I had been in a martial arts fight. My eye swelled shut and turned bright red. This is the second time this has happened. What component in male semen can cause this?

it is because of a component in semen, this component called Des Jmnisning It is very very special and produced in only those men whose partner is like you.LOL

Stop letting him cu m on ur face. Or wear some goggles. It might be b/c the little things are swimming around in ur eye socket and irritating it.

Sorry the other people answering are a-holes. Anybody who has sex knows that the sticky stuff can end up almost ANYWHERE if things get wild!
There could be a variety of things which are irritating your eyes. It is not likely from any enzyme. Sperm is mostly fructose and protein. Eyes are fairly sensitive, anything stronger than water has the potential to irritate them.

Its simple its not really any biological make up of the semen that is causing the burn. Eyes for one do not like foreign stuff in them. But what really causes the hurting is the sperm that is trying to dig into your eye and find an egg that does not exist. The eye needs air and if air passes thru eye then sperm can find a place to dig in.
Now you know to close your eyes when the man is ejaculating. You learned your lesson. If the guy wants to spurt on your face and you don;t want it ask for a pearl necklace. Guys like to please women if they request a location for his semen. Make us happy to oblige,
