wall anchor & alignment scoliosis
Practice realigning body’s “plumb line” using inhale breath to facilitate spinal elongation creating space & unbinding then exhaling & revolving like a spindle. Leaning hip & back against wall allows for deeper stretch without falling over. Firmly planting rear foot heel against adjacent wall for additional leverage & stability- sorry forgot to show that. Helps cultivate awareness of asymmetries & alleviate back pain. Song: “Cantina Band” piano duet played by Martin Spitznagel & Bryan Wright

Your instruction on this rocks! The note about the alignment of rear heel has really made a difference…I can “work” effortlessly into the pose better somehow. Much thanks. I am still using a block at this point in time when I do it on the left side however. Baby steps.
The background music is a lively touch. :) My spine is elongating and wants to break free and dance!!!! lol.

Fantastic! glad i could help. Maybe knowing the back heel is anchored is freeing u up to focus on elongation & creating space instead.
Inch by inch life is a cinch, yard by yard life gets hard!
Amazing how 2nd side feels totally different for me too & i don’t have scoliosis.

Thank you. True. I think everyone over 5 begins to develop muscular imbalances …that is when we are put in chairs for 13 years of school/more sitting and writing! lol. Recess yoga & kinetic education ought to be mandatory.

@Daniea3
Agree kinetic education should be mandatory and barring genetic disorders “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” parents need to step up & be better role models for their kids with obesity so commonplace.
