i’m 19 years old and for the record my family has a history of breast cancer. my mom was dying from it before she killed herself. not explaining that part of my life here. and my aunt is still fighting it. my grandmother has a history of cysts but never became cancer. i’m wondering when should i start having the yearly check up?

It’s gross, I know, but yesterday, my mom and I were out, and I was wearing flip-flops, and she accidentally stepped on my foot in a way that tore the nail on my little toe almost completely off. The root of the nail is still there, but the rest of it is gone. How fast will it grow back in, and is there anything I could do to speed it along? It hurts, and plus, it’s summer, and I’d like to wear flip-flops without worrying about my unsightly toenail.

I am 12, and almost every girl in my grade shaves their legs. I just don’t know how to tell my mom I want to start shaving. I am going to a sleep away camp this summer, so I cant really shave my legs without telling my mom because i will have no way to do it at camp. Every time I try to tell her, I just get to nervous.
