I want my mom to get a mammogram because she is about the age where she should get checked up. However, she doesn’t have insurance. So, I was wondering how much would a mammogram cost for someone who doesn’t have any insurance?

I am 15 16 in 4 wks and I have been using pads since I was 11, but I have to deal with periods when I am at school and I get embarrased because the smell gets out and thank God no one notices but I have to leave immediately to change before someone does notice and I feel that using a tampon would be easier because they don’t smell like pads do, and they are easier to use (I’ve been told this from teens my age who uses them) my mom won’t let me use them because yes of course the TSS but I feel as though if there were tampons made especially for teens she might feel somewhat at ease with letting me use them. I hear playtex is made for teens, but I don’t know. Does anyone know if there are tampons made for teens? If so what are they called and where can I buy them?

A friend of the family is having some substance abuse issues and took some pills and overdosed. Her mom signed a petition to get her put in an inpatient place. Does anyone know how long does that keep her there without her checking herself out? What’s the next step and the process for keeping her there for help?

My mom has been eating about 800 calories or less for YEARS. Her weight has always been the same–I’m assuming her body just holds on to whatever food she eats. It can be some junk food like chips, or just a regular homemade meal. It’s usually very different. Even when she ate healthy for a while with the same amount of calories or less, her weight still remained the same. Obviously, people who eat too many calories just decrease that to lose weight. How would someone eating too few calories lose weight?
