I will be taking .5 mg of Triazolam next week for wisdom teeth removal. I will be taking it an hour before the surgery to calm me down. The method of anesthesia is IV, and I hate IVs. However, Triazolam should calm me down.

I recently heard that my nephew has ADD and should go on medication for it. I am very skeptical. I can’t help but think that this is just an excuse for the school to write him off as needing additional care. Since I am not his parent, I can’t put my opinion in too much. I am curious, has anyone experienced this and do you know of any treatments or medication that are SAFE and that actually did have positive results? My ultimate concern is that my nephew leads a productive and happy life. Please help. Thanks
