My brother had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and his cancer managed to metastasize into his liver. My question is, how is it that cancer in one part of the body can metastasize into one part of the body but not the surrounding areas? Or is it just a matter of time?

my gran has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which has spread to liver, lung and brain, she is not been given any treatment and is being kept comfortable. Could anyone advise on what we can expect, i really don’t want her to suffer.

This question is not for my personal use of hydrocodone pills. My friend got into a horrid accident and has been prescribed hydrocodone for her back for basically ever… So I was trying to lecture her about it because I’m sure she now takes them to get high and not just fot the "pain". So I’m wondering how long it takes before your liver fails. Thanks!

I read some years ago that iodine does this. I have potassium iodide and Lugol’s iodine. Does either of these protect your liver from damage from radiation exposure? I know how to use Lugol’s, but I’ve lost the instructions for the potassium iodide. (I bought it 10 years ago when I read about this.) If neither of these is the right iodine, which one is and how do I use it?
