2 months ago i had an ultrasound ordered by my PCP due to high liver count. I was told by him that if the ultrasound showed anything he would call me. about a month and a half went by and i called the office to double check and make sure nothing showed up. He called back and said i had fatty liver. I asked if there was a follow up with him or if i should see a specialist and he said no. I called my insurance company to see if i could get a second opinion from someone else, they said no. I don’t trust this guy if he couldn’t even call me back and tell me a medical condition. For all i know they lost the ultrasound and probably made something up. I feel i should at least see a liver specialist or even get referred to a nutritionist for a special diet. By the way, i am 22 years old, 6′ 1" 210lbs. No significant past history.
Blood tests showed Neg for Hepatitis.
I don’t drink alcohol and i avoid fatty foods. I play hockey in a league and i regularly work out. So you’re saying i should slowly let this disease kill me considering i shouldn’t have fatty liver.
Im 22 years old i have anthem blue cross blue shield ins. i know it varies by insurance company’s ive submitted my forms and waiting to hear back but i was just wondering what everyone thought the odds would be my bmi is high enough its at 42.5 and i have fatty liver, depression, and anxiety, i also have lower back issues associated with my weight issue? so what do you think please only serious answers
My mother, who has a fatty liver, told me that she occasionally gets liver pain/pain in the liver area of her body after she overeats.
What can cause this? Does overeating cause the liver to swell at all? Is it because she has a fatty liver? Is it perhaps not even her liver, but perhaps another organ pushing against her liver to cause the sensation of pain, like her stomach?
I recently had a liver function test and it came back that my liver enzymes were elevated. About 2 years ago I also had a liver function test that said the same thing and an ultrasound that said both my liver and spleen were enlarged. I was both vaccinated and tested for hepatitis and my tests were negative. My current doc said that I may have a fatty liver and that we will recheck liver function in 4 weeks. My question is can Wilson’s Disease present as Fatty liver or NASH? I understand that Wilson’s is a very rare hereditary disease but I don’t want to assume it’s merely fatty liver if Wilson’s is behind it as that could be fatal. I’ve also heard that fatigue and depression as well as enlarged spleen are symptoms of Wilson’s. Any info would be appreciated.
Also, I don’t drink, at all. I never have. I’m 23 years old.
