If I go from snacking and eating junk food and doing no exercise, from doing 30 minutes of walking per day and eating everyday only 1 bowl of cereal, a bread roll and an apple for lunch, and a sandwich and banana for dinner? How long will it take?

I really need to start getting into shape. I’m not fat or anything but I can’t even jog a mile without having to walk. I need to get my cardio-vascular muscles into shape. I haven’t had any exercise since last fall, and I need to be in shape for soccer this summer. How should I start? I don’t think that just trying to jog is a good idea because I always just have to walk. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!
