I know that people are burning calories 24/7, so it sounds impossible to calculate exactly how much you burn. But how many should I burn with exercise alone? My BMI is 29.97 if that matters.

I go to the gym but only for weight loss, I don’t want these huge calf muscles, how do I avoid that? I find that every machine or exercise I do uses those muscles, all except for the upper body weight lifting machines, but I do not want to build any more muscle period. Actually I would like to lose muscle and fat. How can I achieve this?
