The dentist says i have a not very bad chipped front tooth. She recommended a mouthguard for when I play basketball, even though I play point guard. I want a thin one so most people won’t see it, cause I really don’t wanna be the bag dork with a mouthguard. Where can I get a thin basketball mouthguard, not a expensive custom one from the dentist (unless thats the only choice).

Recently, I’ve been waking up with a thick layer of white gunk on my tongue. I have not changed any of my oral hygiene. I stick to it faithfully. My dentist says it is not oral thrust because it is not in patches and doesn’t bleed when scraped off. I’ve been using a tongue scraper, but it continues every morning. It seems to get better after I eat or drink. I’ve tried mouth washes, peroxide, etc. and can’t get it to stop forming. The part that puzzles me is that it just recently started. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.
I have read where there is a difference between the three..so I was wondering if anyone knows that difference in the three and can they tell me the products that they use to brighten their teeth, lighten their teeth, and whiten their teeth? It is important that we see a dentist at least once a year but what are the best products to use at home (Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Floss or Water Picks, etc.) everyday as a good oral hygiene patient.
On my right lower side this happens when I drink or eat anything hot. Haven’t been to the dentist yet do I need to go?
I whitened my teeth with an at-home bleaching kit from the dentist’s office and my teeth only felt slightly sensitive while doing it. Then afterwards the pain got progressively worse until it was pretty excruciating, and now its better, but still a nagging pain and sensitivity. This has been going on for HOURS now! I have been using a special sensitivity toothpaste with flouride when I brush, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I also tried tylenol and vicodin which didn’t help the pain either. Does anyone know any products or remedies or ANYTHING to help get rid of or prevent tooth sensitivity? I’m supposed to use that whitening kit at least a few times to get desired results, but now I’m dreading ever doing it again after the pain. Is there anything else I can do to combat the sensitivity? Thanks.
All my life I have hated my teeth. They aren’t exactly the ugliest teeth you’ve seen, but they aint the prettiest. I’ve been denied twice for braces by my insurance company. And today i went to the dentist and they said I need to get surgery to fix an overbite. But I dont wanna go through with that. So Im thinking of just getting tooth caps over a couple of my teeth (5+), so does anybody know how much are dental caps? And how about the details of what they do to you.
Teeth are examples of solid matter. When you eat hot food or
drink cold water, your teeth will expand or contract depending
on the temperature inside of your mouth. What would a dentist
need to consider when filling a cavity?
I’m looking for a clinic or a dentist school either in Austin, TX area or Dallas, TX area. My friend needs to have pretty much all of his teeth pulled so we are looking for options on where to go and what to do. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
Hi.
I live in Wisconsin, and today I went to the dentist and found that my lower left wisdom tooth (#17) is impacted and causing little pockets of bacteria by the tooth next to it because of how it’s growing in. The dentist suggested I get both teeth on the one side extracted.
The one on the bottom is still compeltely under the gum and has yet to erupt, where as the one on the top is partially erupted.
How much will this cost?
I do not have dental insurance.
I had a gum inflammation at my lower frontal teeth, its almost healed, but my gums are loose, will my gum heal itself? And how long it takes if it does? I’m 22, using mouthwash prescribed by dentist, with good oral hygiene, i thought my gums will be back to normal after the inflammation, I HAVE GONE TO DENTIST, AND I WILL GONE TO DENTIST FEW DAYS LATER … but i must know the answers now.. plz help!
