I need to be put on birth control…but I’m scared that my insurance won’t cover it and I don’t know how expensive it’ll be. Any help?

On my information pamphlet it says if you start on the first day of your period you are protected immediately and no alternative forms of birth control are needed. However, upon researching further just to be sure, I saw many people saying you had to wait at least a month. FYI, the pills are Tri Sprintec. Why the contradictions, and can I trust the information in the pamphlet.

Ok, I am NOT sexually active. But I dance and play sports and my period just gets in the way, along with the cramping and pimples I get. I really want birth control so I won’t have to deal with all that crap. I’m 14 if that matters. Again, not sexually active and medicine doesn’t work. So how do I ask them, and what would be a good brand if you know.

I’ve never used birth control before, and I’ve just recently become sexually active. Me and my boyfriend always use a condom, but decided sex would be better without one. I’m going to start taking birth control soon, but would like to know how much time I have to wait for us to eventually be considered "safe" without a condom. I have an irregular period, which is another reason I want birth control (to make it regular).

With all the birth control pills out there, how can I know which one is right for me?
