I’ve been having mild pain in the joints of my wrists and hands for months now, it has slowly been getting worse. I also have dry skin on my elbows and tiny dents and pits in my fingernails (I was told this can be an early sign of arthritis). However, I’m only 25. Is this really possible?

Is there, Health

My mother has terrible arthritis and takes 90 milligrams of morphine per day. She has been laid off and has no insurance. Is there any other cheap pain medicine that she can take for the pain? (BTW, she is also on Embrel free from the manufacturer.)

She has seen five specialists over the past ten years, and all have said there is nothing they can do, other than treat the inflammation and pain.

I am recently using a vegan, no sugar, no flour products, no dairy food plan for health reasons. I am 65 yrs old. Please advise on how to make sure I have a balanced nutritious food plan. Especially how do know how much protein is enough. I am in excellent health except for arthritis aches & pains.

I’m female and 30-something years old, 5′ 9" tall and 150 pounds. My BMI is about 22.5 (right in the middle of ‘normal’ weight range). I’ve been told by several doctors that I shoudn’t weigh more than 120 pounds, but that would make me MUCH too thin according to the BMI charts. I do have arthritis in my hands and legs, and my doctor has told me that arthritis in anyone my age is caused by being overweight. So how do I find out what I should weigh?

I am young (27) and have rheumatoid arthritis. Because of it, I have to take lots and lots of pills a day. I’ve had it for about four years now, but for some reason, I still have a mental resistance to taking my medications. Two of my medications are anti-depressants, so that may have bearing on it.

My main question, though, is how can I overcome this blockage and take my pills. I’ve tried just "bucking up" and doing it, but for some reason, it doesn’t last very long, and I end up missing days, weeks, even months at a time of my medications. Any suggestions?
