Birth control seems to work really really well, when it comes to clearing up my acne, but my husband and i want to try for a family so obviously i cant take birth control. Is there a different "hormone based" supplement that might work for the time being?

When I shave, my face gets clearer within one to two days; presumably because dead skin and bacteria is cleaned off.
Left alone, when my face isn’t shaved within 3 days to a week, acne becomes persistent and appears in more areas, though not so severely.
I wash my face every night with warm water and soap, despite shaving or not.
