its not the vitamin D that lifts your depression its the effect of the strong light on your eyes which stimulates the serotonin in your brain. I’m trying the SJW so far so good, dont taste funny to me, how long do you keep them in your mouth!, you should maybe try it again but stick with it for 3months or so.

I really like your videos. It’s so great that you are sharing your information and personal experiences with anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, etc. Please keep making these videos because you really help me since we have such similar mental issues. Oh, and I must say that you are absolutely gorgeous! :-)

The St. John’s wart is awesome. It works great. I agree the the foul smell can drive you up the wall every time you set loose a burp. However I found that by crushing it up, and burning it the smell is extremely calming, and encouraging, and is more sweet, and musky. I experimented with it on a group, and it allowed them to stay calm, and get along, even in extremely stressful environments, and under strange circumstances.

The first natural remedy for anxiety and depression is to stay away from alcohol and cigarettes.

i would like to try st johns wort but i really can’t spend any extra money right now…=( i would like to find as many natural “free” things to practice at the moment…my biggest concern is MAJOR anxiety at work…at home the best thing is when my boyfriend wraps his arms around me and i can feel his warmth and kiss him, that makes my worries just melt away…too bad he cant come to work with me…=( i hate anxiety, my heart is almost always pounding.. its so draining every day

whoa. you live in washington and it rains all the time?! i do too, near seattle.
insomnia with me too. now i’m thinking, since you bring it up, that it does have to do with the lack of sunlight. i’ve been looking in to buying vitamin D supplements since a friend told me she took em.

I have read many suggestions for cures for depression: exercise, diet, relaxation, sunlight etc. However, from my experience they are succesful only moderate or better depressions. I have suffered severe depressions when the weather is glorious and yet I would still be no more likely to venture outdoors. Serious longterm depression is due to something more entranched in our makeup which needs to be addressed if there is to be a full and sustainable recovery.

Hi.
I am not sure , if someone have offer you this item, but from my experience L theanine is helpful. It is extract from selected green tea leafs. Pretty good.
Wish you all the best.

You seem very pretty and confident, why would you need anti anxiety medication?
In my experience no herbal remedies, there isn’t anything that really works. Benzos will but will fuck you up in a short time.
You are right about the light – I use a full spectrum growlamp in winter + take vitamin D tablets – that helps a bit.
Corrupt5358 on March 10, 2010 at 2:35 am
Try amytriptyline – that helps sleep, increases appetite, reduces anxiety, non addictive, oh and increases your appreciation of music (that’s not on the label lol).

Ive been on a ton of diets and experiemented with tons of supplements. Eating right has the ability to stop lack of energy and not wanting to move out of bed. It does not seem to stop anxiety that is triggered from being around others, or those people afraid of elevators and so on. Supplements cause an adrenaline rush because they posion the body, and they end up leaving you weakened or confused after the adrenaline rush is over. This herb and nutritional crap is pesudoscience.
OMFGsoBOARD on March 13, 2010 at 5:05 pm
The adrenaline rush from the supplements can retard anxiety a little but leaves you worse off.

so what do you suggest people do instead? have you found anything that works without side effects?
sun light and eccersise work for me.. but i cant always

Get a better video cam with a minimum of 30b.p.s.
xsullengirlx on March 25, 2010 at 6:14 am
@CardBoardBrains I actually have one, but my internet connection is slow so I have to upload them in a lower quality format to upload them. If you don’t like it, then don’t watch. The videos are about what I have to say, it’s not like I am showing anything important on the screen.
xsullengirlx on March 25, 2010 at 8:54 am
@CardBoardBrains I’m coming back like 2 hours later because I wondered if my comment sounded bitchy. I wasn’t sure if you were trying to tell me my video quality sucked, or giving me legit advice. if it was the latter, then I apologize that it sounded snippy.

I’ve been taking 5-htp for my anxiety, and wow. It really helps. i’ve considered making a review video, just because of how well it works.

I use to have that. You don’t have to deal with it anymore.

For those dealing with any anxiety, stress or panic disorders. There is product called Rescue Remedy by Doctor Bach. The remedies selected are from natural source of plants and have zero side effects. I have taken this product myself, just before tests, travelling or whatever. St johns wort is also good but does have side effects,. I do not use it.. Good luck everyone.

I don’t think I’m going to go outside just to feel better. In some ways I enjoy misery.
