Product Description |
| Achieve an advanced moist heat therapy treatment at home with MediBeads Microwave Activated Moist Heat CARPAL CUFF. With greater deep-muscle penetration than a dry heating pad, this wrap is designed to relieve arthritis, muscles aches, soreness and stiffness. This therapeutic wrap is designed to surround the hand to provide a slight compression. Durable stretch fabric is idea for range of motion exercises. Helps prevent and treat pain caused by arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and tendonitis. Size is perfect for use while typing. 4.5 X 4.5 Moist heat increases circulation and speeds recovery by bringing in fresh blood cells and taking away the wastes, which may hinder healing. This innovative product makes moist heat therapy safer and more effective. MediBeads are different from other fillers like grains, seeds, or gels in that they produce moist heat by absorbing water molecules from the air. When activated in the microwave, these molecules are released in the form of clean, soothing heat. Simply heat in the microwave as directed, apply to the site of pain. Relief begins immediately and lasts for up to 30 minutes. MediBeads are washable and reuseable. Recommended heating time for the CARPAL CUFF is :30 seconds. Do NOT exceed 1:00 minute. Always touch test before applying to the body as microwave ovens vary in power. This Wrap can also be used to provide a therapeutic level of cold therapy when frozen. Simply place in the freezer and use as directed. |

Much relief for sore wrists
|
| Review Date: March 2, 2004 |

| I have DeQuervain's tenosynovitis in both wrists. I used to use TheraBeads, the predecessor to MediBeads, for heat treatment at my hand doctor's office. I don't think the company made the Carpal Cuff at that time. I just bought two Carpal Cuffs for home use, and they work great. The moist heat it provides feels wonderful when my wrists start to hurt. Microwaving them is very simple and convenient--less time, mess, and potential danger (burns) than having to boil water (as for some heatpads out there). It stays on without any additional straps or anything--I can even wear it while typing. It is just slightly too large for my wrists, so it does slide around a tiny bit, but it is only a minor inconvenience. If it bothered me enough, I'm sure I could make a strap (e.g., out of Velcro), to keep it tighter in place--but it isn't too much trouble yet. I have also used the cuffs for cold treatment--this also worked very well, and helped the pain in my wrists. To chill the cuffs, I actually just left them in my car--it's cold enough in the Northeast in winter to chill the cuffs! I am very satisfied, and I am sure other MediBeads (for other areas of the body) would be just as great. |

| This is the second Medi-Bead Carpal Cuff that I've ordered. I use it for my bi-cep and it made a world of difference. I've had so much pain for a very long time that I couldn't move my arm up and down. Since using this item I have very little discomfort and almost feel normal. |
Effective moist heat

| Delivery was easy as usual. This provided the most moist heat of the products I've tried. I bought it for myself and others who use moist heat for hand pain from arthritis. It's very effective in relieving pain and stiffness. It can get very hot, so follow directions on the duration in microwave and you will love this product. |
