I am familiar with works of Dr.Janda and respect them very much. However, the post isometric relaxation technique was researched and first introduced by Czech Republic scientist Dr. Karl Levit in the end of the 1960′s. Thank You.

My back has been giving me trouble for a while. Since, I started using Boris back massage exercises I have felt a serious improvement. With continued back exercise work I will probably be able to run the LA Marathon soon. Thanks for all you help Boris.

Is piriformis both an internal and external rotator when the hip is flexed to 90 degree?

@sandhedomsundhed piriformis muscle’s action is abduction as well rotation lateral of thigh.

Hi Boris.
I just read some Shirley Sahrmann notes yesterday, and according to her the Piriformis muscle actually rotates the thigh internally when the femur is flexed to 90 degrees.

I wonder if since with anterior pelvic tilt problems the people hyperextend the spine beyond what is bad and the arch is overemphasized if that is why in therapy the back is rounded to help reduce that in the midst of bringing the knees up which seems like a tool to reestablish a healthier tilt. To stretch the hypertensive erector spinae and shorten the abdominals?
