Keep this simple. Place something soft underneath your bottom. And even place a pillow or two behind your lower back. Then everyday, for the next 30 days, shoot for 100 reps by the end of this clip, ok?~ahmad Become your best. I’ve been inconsistently working out but I have made progress. At 141 lbs I am 11 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight (I’m 5’7″). I don’t mind the size I am now, but I have this lower tummy “pooch” that just won’t seem to go away :-( I am currently doing 100 situps 3-4 times a week. What do you suggest to really target my lower tummy? I know you have a vid…should I just do it longer? 2nd pregnancy so maybe that’s all my poor tummy can take. LOL!

@makingthebest09 ohh cool. i wanna see that

@AfroTee
if it is your lower stomach,
i would suggest to do the opposite of a crunch(sit-up).
lay on your back and make a fieldgoal kinda shape with your hands
then put them under your butt. then just raise your feet.
to make it harder do a kick like your swimming. this is awesome for lower abs

@makingthebest09 For cardio I will be training for cross country this summer, doing at least 2 miles a day, do you think that will be good? And I eat pretty healthy atm, I don’t drink soda and eat fatty foods, but I also am lacking taking in a lot of protein and stuff =/
skaley01 on June 2, 2010 at 6:47 pm
I’m a girl, I can do that. I used to do em daily but with wrist weights, what do you think? useful?
thanks for the vid and challenge

@skaley01 I love using the wrist weights or light dumbbells…each week for this month will be a different move to master…then we will combine for one large superset during week 4…~ahmad

@AfroTee super clean eating is the secret…well at least 80 percent of the time…You want to increase your cardio…make it daily for 30-45 mins…if you seriously want to see the change in the lower pouch…if you don’t stay consistent with the work…then it will not happen fast…give me 30 days…then reward yourself for following the plan…ok?~ahmad
makingthebest09 on June 2, 2010 at 10:05 pm
@MrRobotFish no matter what angle or move you do for the abs…you are still working the full section if you squeeze…the most important thing is low body fat…unless you do your cardio…and eat smart…forget seeing your 6 pack… it’s not hard…just go day by day…ok?~ahmad
kpanonymousazn on June 2, 2010 at 11:00 pm
@makingthebest09 rite go run about 30-45 minutes a day do a little more cardio after and then your six pack will appear
MrRobotFish on June 2, 2010 at 11:54 pm
@makingthebest09
but doing what i said does help focus more on the
lower abs rather than the upper
shakaama on June 3, 2010 at 12:18 pm

carmexsd4 on June 4, 2010 at 5:47 am
@makingthebest09, aren’t doing sit-ups bad for the spine? i thought only crunches were the thing now, no? im confused, please let me know. cause if situps are okay to do i’m gonna start doing them again cuz i find them to be more effective than crunches
makingthebest09 on June 4, 2010 at 1:26 pm
@carmexsd4 no they are not if you use great form and support the spine…I suggest using nice cushion under bottom, and then move through a range of motion that does not cause pain. Go slow until you can control the movement. Trust me….~ahmad
TiredOfBeingFat1 on June 5, 2010 at 4:40 am
can u achieve the same results doing situps in the bed??
carmexsd4 on June 5, 2010 at 11:44 pm
@makingthebest09 thanks a lot for the quick response. I noticed in the video that you’re not letting your back completely touch the floor when you go down, is that part of supporting the spine and proper form, or r u just doing that because it makes it a more rigorous workout?
