Is there another way to beat menstrual acne besides getting on the pill?

I have birth control in many ways and I have no need to be on it. However, I heard that it helps control acne caused by hormones (when I’m about to start my period). How can I fix this problem without getting on the pill? I don’t normally break out, just during this time.

Er, you could try topical treatments to try and prevent the break-out. Over the counter stuff like Benzoyl Peroxide, Witch Hazel, Salicylic Acid, Clearasil…or see a doctor for something like Differin gel.
If it’s hormonal though then those remedies probably wouldn’t be too effective and birth control would be your best bet. I can’t think of any other hormonal remedies, sorry.
