I need to lose ten pounds and i am not sure where to start. Any help would be great. What should i eat and what kind of workouts should i do. I don’t have the money to join the gym so that is out of the question what can i do at home. If i go for long walks will that help. Any adivce you can give would be great thanks.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

I lost 7 pounds in about 3 months. What I did was first I cut out all soda’s. Now I have one every now and again, but rarely. Then after that I cut down on my portions. I order everything in small portions or I don’t finish all my food on my plate. Restaurants like to serve large portions. Eat till you are full not stuffed. That way you can eat what you want but just less of it. After a while your body will get use to the smaller portions and you wont be able to eat large meals anymore. If you are hungry between meals eat small healthy snacks. Like fruit or granola bars. My favorite is Fiber One bars. The extra fiber has also helped me lose weight. Good Luck.

Cut out the junk food, desserts, creamy sauces, cakes, sweets, and processed meats and sweet fizzy drinks.
Eat as much as you want of raw, steamed or stir-fried veg. Ditto fruit.
Have 2 helpings a day of meat or fish, or meat substitute if you’re vegetarian. You can also have eggs, or 25g of nuts every two days, provided you’re not allergic to them. Go easy on cheese also, just because it isn’t sweet doesn’t mean it can’t be fattening.
Have about 250g – 300g of carbs every day (this is the weight for raw carbs) – this is pasta, potatoes, grains, etc. No butter, no mayonaisse, but you can have a little pesto or olive oil or mustard if you like.
Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day, bring carrot sticks and celery with you for lunch, along with your sandwich or pasta salad. Eat slowly.
