How do tell difference between backpain and kidney pain?
I have alot of pain in my lower back area, where the kidneys are. The pain started 3 days ago and is still there. I couldnt even sleep properly last night.
Just so you know, i have H.PYLORI and alot of stomach problems aswell.
How can i know that this is backpain and not kidney pain?
I am also feeling lightheaded/dizzy…
Help please.

Kidneys do not have pain receptors = painfree.
Pain in that area is referred from elsewhere. Stomach problems can cause backpain, so can a lot of other things. Don’t sit over 30 minutes without moving around (sitting long periods stresses the back). You may need to call your doc’s nurse & ask for help.

The pain associated to the kidneys is usually sharp and throbbing, but it can (rarely) be dull and aching. There isn’t really a way to tell but the doctor can do a urine test and, if that’s inconclusive, check your back. :) however, a urine test doesn’t always have clear cut results so you may be referred.

I have the exact same pain right now! It’s been here since yesterday. It feels like a dull ache on the lower left side of my back. But it only hurts when I move. I’ve read that it might be a kidney stone or just a strained muscle. If it continues for a long time, then you (and I) should probably see a doc.
