How do I get new refills for a prescription?

I ran out of refills for my birth control pill. How do I get a new prescription for it without going to the doctor? I moved recently (still in the same state), can I call my old doctor and ask her to send a refill/prescription to my new pharmacy?

You can call and ask, but more often than not they won’t do prescriptions over the phone. Try to explain your situation to them.
You will need to go to a doctor closer to where you live if they won’t call it in for you. If you need the pills NOW, then go the the pharmacy and try explaining it to them.
You could also call the pharmacy you used before you moved and ask them if they help.

You could try doing that. Explain the circumstances behind your asking…
But generally, you would have to visit a doctor in your area to get a refill. Maybe if you asked your old doctor for a referral?

You need to get it from a doctor, so you will need to make a new doctor appointment. And make sure the refills are plenty for you..
