How do can I stop my compulsive eating?

Im thin and I used to play sports, but I dont anymore. Playing sports used to keep my compulsive eating weight off; but now that I’ve quit playing sports, I’ve gained about ten pounds and lost my muscle tone. How do I stop eating to compensate for my boredom, and how do I add some fun exercise to my life?

I think putting little notes around that are encouraging such as your almost there or don’t give up or did you count those calories or your about to eat a pig. Or that’s just a big bowl of sugar will intimidate you not to eat the unhealthy foods. Hope I helped you out. :)

Find new hobbies, do volunteer work, join community organizations, join a book club, meet new people using meetup.com… Do whatever it takes to keep yourself busy. I also recommend talking to a psychologist who can help yo understand better the cause of your compulsive eating and how to stop it.

I’d say that whenever you’re about to do something, say eat chips, just stop yourself and try to really think about if you should do that or excersize. Sometimes I do that, and if I just keep thinking about it for a minute I decide what’s the right thing to do and I do it. This doesn’t work for everyone, however, I hope it will work for you. Best of luck!

I can’t advise you on compulsive eating. I recommend that you talk to your doctor about it. He will be able to help you. The following foods are ones that are low in fat, low in calories and they keep you full. They might at least keep the weight off. http://iamgettingfit.blogspot.com/2008/10/15-fat-burning-foods-eat-lots-and-lose.html
