Fatty infiltrated liver w/ hypoechoic or complex cyst, ultrasoud findings?
Please explain to me in words that I can understand what could that be or lead to:
fatty liver, hypoechoic nodule 4.5 x 22 x 26 mm in size. there is some through-transmission suggesting this represents a complex cyst or adjacent cysts.
My point/question: is this a cirrhosis type? or cancer type? or Hepatocellular Carcinoma type? or something else?
I appreciate your answer.

NASH (fatty liver unrelated to alcohol fatty liver) is exactly what the fatty infilerated liver means. you simply have nash. nash happens when fatty depsits in the liver. over many years the outcome can be cirrhosis.
many things attibute to fatty liver. menopause in women, diet, hereditary and other liver diseases. even those with type 2 diabetes.
as for the nodule, it is probably not cancerous, however, i would think the next step is to biopsy it.
HC is the same as cancer. Cirrhosis can cause the liver to weaken making it more succeptable to cancerous growth.
it’s best to call your doctor and have him explain it. after all, i could be wrong as i am not a doctor but i do have nash-not sure if it is from most of my life infected with hcv or diet or hereditary, but i know it is not due to alcohol-i hardly ever touch that toxin.
other things can attribute too like using or drinking beverages with artificial sweetners as well as too much refined sugars.
medication, over the counter or prescription…..
good luck
