I bought the 80-piece package of Chandrika original green soap from Amazon because theirs was the best price for a bulk shipment. And the reason I ordered such a large amount is that I can't be without it.
Some don't like the fragrance, saying it is too strong, but I love the smell of it in the shower and on my skin. It isn't meant for mucous membranes, being an ayurvedic product designed for a specific purpose. And that purpose is cleansing the skin and aura of the spiritual detritus that builds up and clings during the day. That is why many people say it makes them feel so good and clean and I find it has exactly that effect on me, which is why I love it so much. It is much more than a simple soap. If I've had a stressful day, or just been out shopping among a lot of people, at a party, etc. showering with this soap gets rid of the muddied or disjointed feeling, and makes me feel calm, peaceful and centered. I highly recommend it for this purpose. Note: Don't confuse this one with the Chandrika Sandalwood soap with an elephant on the box. It doesn't have the same effect. This is the original green soap in the plain green and brown box.

Product Description
Bitter Melon, also known as Karela or Momordica Charantia is a herb that helps regulate blood sugar levels and keeps body functions operating normally. Famous for its delicious distinctive flavor, licorice is essential in innumerable candy, confection and beverage recipes and makes an estimable liquer. The Extract enters into the composition of cough lozenges and pastilles, with sedatives and expectorants. It is largely used in conjunction with infusion of linseed in the treatment of irritable cough, sore throat and laryngitis, and an infusion made by boiling 1 OZ. of the bruised root deprived of its bark, with 1 pint of water for a few minutes, may be employed in the treatment of sore throat and in catarrhal conditions of the urinary intestinal tracts. The powdered root is useful in pill-making on account of its absorbent qualities, being used to impart stiffness to pill masses and to prevent the adhesion of pills.

Product Description
Vitex causes the pituitary gland to produce luteinizing hormone. This increases progesterone production and helps regulate a woman's cycle, re-establishing the normal balance between estrogen and progesterone. The underproduction of progesterone can cause PMS and other related problems. This glandular balancing can be profoundly helpful during menopause. Vitex also keeps prolactin secretion in check. The ability to decrease mildly elevated prolactin levels may benefit some infertile women as well as some women with premenstrual syndrome. A double-blind study, confirming other studies, showed Vitex to be more effective than vitamin B6 in controlling PMS symptoms. This is not a fast acting remedy, and will not give immediate symptomatic relief. It is safe to use over long periods.
